The first stop on my road trip around the northland of New Zealand! This is Whangarei Falls which is a scenic reserve surrounding a famous waterfall 26 meters high on the Hatea River. Its located in the city of Whangarei. We hiked down and had our first of many picnics and also got right under the falls!
