This was our last stop for day two. The Waipu caves are filled with glow worms so if you walk into the caves it’s pitch black and the ceiling is glowing! We went at dusk so it was even darker than usual inside the caves which was awesome. We had to walk through ankle deep water to get to the massive clumps of worms but it was totally worth it! They may look like stars, but those are the real living glow worms!! If you ever get a chance to go I would recommend walking all the way in and turning all of your lights off. This was quite possibly one of the most peaceful experiences of my life.
