Trip this past weekend down south to Fulljames (sacred Maori land) with the Canoe Club! Drove down Friday afternoon dressing 70’s theme and bar crawled to the campground where we were surrounded by horses! It was beautiful and so picturesque. Woke up with the sun Saturday and got out on the water after a bit of instruction from the guides. The first part of the day I kayaked and then after lunch switched over to rafting. Rafting was a ton of fun but I liked the challenge of kayaking (a lot more terrifying) and it took a lot of skill! Did the whole camping scene with a barbecue Saturday night and up again with the sun Sunday for another half day of white water! I chose kayaked my last run and ended up not falling in the roughest rapids!! Overall amazing experience and met a bunch of new people from the club (people in and out of my university).
