Waiheke was amazing!! A small little paradise only a ferry ride from Auckland!
My first trip over was short but sweet with my aunt on her last day. We took a tour around the whole island and then stopped at one vineyard before catching the ferry back. It was so beautiful and learned a bunch about the different wines and even the right way to wine taste! A blast!
The second time around was a bit longer and we even stayed to watch the sunset. This time was with my friend studying in Australia and then a few from school here! We made it out a bit earlier that day and got to stop at a few more wineries which was so fun! Tried many wines and met so many interesting people. We had a nice little picnic for lunch on the beach and even hiked a bit walking through some of the vineyards. Walked around the central town on the island, Oneroa and found some cute little shops and then made it all the way to Onetangi Beach for the sunset. Long day, but managed to make it back to Auckland in one piece!
