Raglan Fiesta

A few weekends ago I went out to Raglan to do some surfing. I’ve never been before so I booked a lesson. We headed out as the sun rose and drove into the fog until we hit Ngarunui Beach. It only takes about 2 hours to drive so got to spend the whole day! I get wet suited up and learned how to surf. That was pretty awesome and I even stood on my first wave!! Learned a lot about surf culture which was super cool. After the lesson my friend and I headed to check out Bridal Veil Falls which was really close to the beach, only about a 20 minute drive. This was a beautiful little hike out and down around the waterfall, the last picture was all the way at the base and we started at the top! Later on we drove into town for some ice cream and back to the beach for sunset! Turned out to be a hot day and the perfect time to learn to surf 🙂 Definitely going back!!
